School Pictures / Retakes

The LifeTouch school picture re-take day RMS had scheduled for 12/2 was canceled due to current COVID rates in our county. A new time and date for re-takes is to be determined and will be communicated once it is scheduled. For those who pre-ordered photos, photo packets can be picked up at school from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM during school days.

RMS Library Info

Students are welcome to check out library books!  Books need to be placed on hold by Friday for pick up the following week on Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4 and Wednesday from 8:30-11:30.  Books will be in a bag with your student's name on it placed on a cart right in front of the main door to the school. Additional information can be found in the All About Books channel on the Library Teams channel (all students have access!)  Questions? Please contact Ms. Metcalf at emetcalf@lwsd.org.

Choice Schools Deadline, Dec. 11 (Repeat)

Choice schools and programs are optional schooling alternatives, created to meet specific needs and interests. Online applications are now available and are due on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 4:00 PM. Choice Schools and programs are open to all students in the district and are enrolled by lottery. More information can be found on the LWSD Choice Schools webpage.

Please login to Online Payments Portal at https://payments.lwsd.org to pre-purchase and reserve your copy of the RMS yearbook for $35. Deadline is Wednesday, December 9. Yearbooks are pre-paid and extras in June are not guaranteed. No refunds.

The yearbook is created entirely by RMS students during Yearbook class (an elective class for 7th and 8th graders) and is administered by the school. For questions regarding yearbook photos or purchasing, please contact Ms. Poblete at spoblete@lwsd.org or Ms. Morris at kamorris@lwsd.org.

Donuts with Dana: December Meeting

RMS PTSA presents "Donuts with Dana", a monthly, 30-minute virtual meeting with Principal Dana Greenberg, usually on the last Tuesday of the month, alternating between morning and evening times. Parents can chat with the principal, and other parents about various school topics from the leisure of your own home. Bring your own donuts!

Virtual Enrichment Enrollment Opens Dec. 13

The joint RMS/Mann PTSA Enrichment Team has a great Winter Session of Virtual Enrichment Classes planned. Enrollment opens on December 13 at 10:00 AM and classes will run from January-April. Virtual Open Mic Night (Repeat)

RMS PTSA is partnering with the The Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts (RATA) to present the virtual Open Mic Night! All RMS students looking for a venue to express their inner artist individually or as a group are invited, either via live streaming or by recording. All sessions, including Open Mic Night will be held virtually in the evenings or weekends. This is a fully subsidized program, and there is NO COST to any studentsWe are also offering FREE coaching sessions by aspiring high school performers, who are also RMS alumni at RATA, to help students prepare for the performance of their choice. Secure your spot now by signing up!

Audience members learned what to look for and where to get help in case of warning signs are present for mental health conditions. 2020 Redmond Lights December 4 - January 3
Festivities have been extended this year to allow for physical distancing and safety precautions. Follow the lights down Cleveland and 164th by foot or by car to Redmond Town Center where the festivities continue with Santa, business window decorating contests, and blinker stops. Honoring the holiday spirit that is an integral part of the community, this years’ experience will emphasize hope, joy, and safety in a new way. Learn More:

Answer: There isn't a way to subscribe to Grizzly Gram directly. The software that is used to create the Grizzly Gram pulls the mailing information from the LWSD Skyward Family Access.
